At the age of 9, Jennifer was accepted as a full time student at the National Ballet School of Canada where she continued her formal training and danced the lead role of Clara in the National Ballet of Canada's production of "The Nutcracker", sharing the stage with the legendary Karen Kain and Frank Augustyn. Jennifer received three IODE scholarships as well as the prestigious City of Toronto Scholarship.
Since graduation Jennifer has performed in additional productions with the National Ballet of Canada. She was also a soloist with the Alberta Ballet before moving on to Ottawa Ballet under the direction of Frank Augustyn. Since arriving in Newfoundland, in September 1996, Martin and Jennifer established Dance Studio East, providing Conception Bay South with its first professional dance studio.
Jennifer's teaching credentials include a position at the Mount Royal School of Dance in Calgary and the School of Dance in Ottawa where she completed the Cecchetti Associate Exam through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, Canadian Society Branch. Jennifer is now co-Artistic Director of Kittiwake Dance Theatre. Martin and Jennifer have two daughters, Zoë and Anasophie.

In 1996 Jennifer was invited to choreograph and perform a solo performance to honour the fiftieth anniversary of the birth of Princess Margarette of the Netherlands in Ottawa.
Jennifer taught at the Mount Royal School of Dance in Calgary and at the School of Dance in Ottawa where she completed the Cecchetti Associate Exam from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, Canadian Society Branch (ISTD,CSB). She is now co-owner and operator of Dance Studio East in Manuels.
