Dance Training and Experience

Martin Vallée trained as a dancer at L'École Superieure de Danse du Quebec and the Alberta Ballet School, under instructors including Daniel Sellier, Lambros Lambrou, Laura Alonzo, Susan Toumine and Clinton Rothwell.

His professional dance experience includes solo performances with the Alberta Ballet, Calgary City Ballet, Banff Festival Ballet, Ottawa Ballet, The National Folk Ensemble Les Sortileges and Epcot Centre (Disney). In addition to his performances in Canada, Martin's career has taken him to the United States and Europe where he has performed lead roles in: The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Coppelia, Snow Maiden, Cinderella, Carmen, Miss Julie, Spring Waters, Serenade (Balanchine), Agon (Balanchine), Glinka Pas de Trois (Blanchine), Cereus (A. Tudor), Carmina Burana (Butler), Moores Pavane (J. Limon), Gaite Parisienne (L. Masine), Les Rendez-vous (Sir F. Ashton) Jeux de Cartes (B. McDonald), Pineapple Poll (Cranko), Miss Julie (Cullberg), Cats the Musical, and various internationally known modern repertoire pieces.
